Air War College: Officers of 10 allied countries graduate 

KARACHI: (APP) Fellow of Air War College (FAWC) certificate award ceremony of No 29 Air War Course was held at PAF Air War College, Faisal here.

Air Marshal Saeed Muhammad Khan, Vice Chief of the Air Staff, PAF was the chief guest on the occasion.

A PAF statement here on Saturday said that addressing the graduating officers, the chief guest said `This institution is indeed the most professional training institution for the officers' cadre in Pakistan Air Force. The spirit of acquiring knowledge that you have developed at this college must continue to guide you in your careers and ever beyond'.

He further said `Security environment of our region is indeed quite complex and has re-cast the shape of response and the level of preparedness which is required. It certainly poses challenge for professional military forces. But with the skills developed and innovative thinking, I am sure you will continue to retain initiative to overcome our security challenges'.

Lieutenant Colonel Nasim Ahmad earned the distinction for presenting best thesis of the course. The graduating officers included officers from Pakistan Air Force, Pakistan Army and Pakistan Navy in addition to ten allied officers from ten different countries namely Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Iran, Jordan, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Nigeria and South Africa.

Earlier, Air Vice Marshal Pirzada Kamaluddin Ahmed Siddiqui, Commandant of the Air War College, presented the end-course report.

The ceremony was attended by various high ranking civil and military officers and diplomats from allied countries.

PAF Air War College is the premier institution of Pakistan Air Force, where officers of Pakistan Armed Forces and friendly countries are prepared for assumption of key Command and Staff appointments.
