Global human rights watchdogs urged to rescue Kashmiri prisoners

SRINAGAR: In occupied Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, has urged global human rights watchdogs to come to rescue of the Kashmiri detainees languishing in different jails.
In a statment in Sringar, expressing serious concern over the pathetic conditions of jails in and outside the territory, he said that these helpless prisoners are facing inhuman and ill treatment, were unlawfully and unnecessarily shifted to jails in other parts for harassment.
The APHC Chairman said slow pace of court proceedings and the criminal silence of the champions of the human rights had added to their miseries.
