Indian troops harass family, desecrate martyr’s banners

In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops harassed the family and mourners and desecrated the banners of martyr, Syed Rubaan Shah in Shopian district.

Hours after Syed Rubaan Shah, one of the three martyrs killed in Budgam on Sunday, was laid to rest, the Indian troops entered his home at Nazneenpora in Shopian and harassed his family members, Syed Imran Shah, the brother of the martyr, said.

Imran said, “Hours after the burial of my beloved brother, Indian troops entered our house and scolded my parents, guests and neighbours. The banners of my martyr brother were desecrated and then all the banners were taken down one by one”.“My mother even emotionally pleaded to them that she has just lost her son. If he is dead now what else do they want,” Imran said.

After five back-to-back funeral prayers, Syed Rubaan Shah was laid to rest by Wednesday afternoon at his ancestral graveyard. A masked mujahid also gave a gun salute to his comrade.
