Airstrike kills 16 civilian in Afghanistan

In Afghanistan, sixteen members of a family including women and children were killed in the southern Helmand province when an airstrike destroyed their home.
According to the head of the provincial council Attaullah Afghan, the airstrike was launched in the Sangin district during heavy fighting between Afghan forces and the Taliban.
