UN urges for humanitarian aid access to address Yemen crisis

United Nations top relief official has urged for unconditional and sustained humanitarian access to address human crisis in Yemen.

In a statement, UN Emergency Relief Coordinator, Mark Lowcock called on all parties to the conflict to cease hostilities and engage meaningfully to achieve an inclusive, negotiated political settlement.

Lowcock also underscored the need to keep all ports open so that life-saving assistance reaches those in desperate need.
