Govt given Dec 31 deadline for Sanaullah’s resignation

GUJRANWALA: Pir Hameeduddin Sialvi on Sunday given December 31 deadline to the government for the resignation of Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah.

Addressing the Khtam-e-Nabuwwat Conference held in Gujranwala’s Sheranwala Gate, Pir Hameeduddin Sialvi demanded Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif to either remove provincial Law Minister Rana Sanaullah or tender his resignation until December 31.

He said that Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz were told that the followers of Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) will reach Sheranwala Gate at any cost to participate in the Conference.

Speaking on the occasion, Sahibzada Hamid Raza said that their warning was not taken seriously, adding that the matter will go beyond the resignation of Rana Sanaullah.

Allama Ashraf Asif Jalali said that any attack on Khatm-e-Nabuwwat will not be tolerated.

Hamid Saeed Kazmi said that it will not be possible to stop the sea of people if their demands are met.

A large number of people from across the country participated in the conference. Banners, Panaflexes and posters had been displayed in the city.

Meanwhile, a total of 10 Union Council Counselors had resigned from their posts saying they strongly condemn Rana Sanaullah’s statements.

The ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Member National Assembly (MNA) Nisar Jutt and Member Punjab Assembly (MPA) Raza Nasrullah Ghumman have also resigned from their posts.
