Pakistan’s Babar Azam makes historic achievement in T20 cricket

ISLAMABAD - Babar Azam has became the first Pakistan batsman to score more than 500 runs in a T20 tournament on Saturday.

Opener Ahmed Shehzad previously held the record for scoring most runs by a Pakistan batsman in T20 tournament when he scored 486 runs in the 2012 edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

Azam continued his rich vein of form in the Vitality T20 Blast and played an innings of 63 runs from 42 balls to help Somerset register 25-run victory over Glamorgan on Saturday.

The top-order batsman was adjudged player of the match for his inning, which included seven fours and a six.
