*WASHINGTON: Former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar has said that history and coming generations would decide whether his verdicts in cases of importance were right or wrong, ARY News reported.*
Talking to ARY News in one such reception in Washington, Nisar said that he had no regrets.
“No man is perfect and neither am I; I may have made mistakes but I don’t have any regrets”, he said.
The ex-CJP said that he tried to provide justice to the commoners during his tenure as the country’s top adjudicator.
“My style was different but it was within the ambit of law”, he said.
“It is up to the coming generations and history to decide whether I was right or wrong”, he added.
He underscored the need for an ‘honest’ political leadership for the country. But when asked if he considered Prime Minister Imran Khan to be one such leader, he refrained from commenting.
“I cannot be the judge of that, it is up to the people of Pakistan to decide”, he remarked.
