Chinese Ambassador talks big on Pakistan PM Imran Khan's official tour to China

ISLAMABAD - Chinese Ambassador Yao Jing has said on eve of Prime Minister Imran Khan's visit to China CPEC will be turned into the corridor of the people,

Yao Jing writes in a newspaper article that China will change the living standards of people of Pakistan by increasing its assistance in people's livelihood sector.

He said Beijing will be extending its assistance in agriculture, education, medical treatment, poverty alleviation, water supply and vocational training.

Chinese envoy said CPEC joint working group of social economic cooperation has sorted out a number of “short and fast” and “small but beautiful” livelihood projects.

These include establishing agricultural demonstration centers, poverty alleviation demonstration villages, vocational training schools and hospitals, and increasing scholarships for Pakistani students in China.

He said china will carry forward the people's livelihood projects to the underdeveloped areas such as Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, and make the CPEC a “corridor for the people”.
