Security forces recover huge cache of arms from Peshawar and Jacobabad

PESHAWAR: Security forces and Police conducted joint operations in Jacobabad and Peshawar and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunitions including weapons and bullets here at today.


As per details, Pakistan Railway Police and LEAs conducted operation in Jacobabad Railway Station and recovered huge cache of arms from Jaffar Express while one suspect was also detained by LEAs.


SSP Railway Sukkur Malik Ateeq said that some arms are being sent legally from Peshawar to Jaffarabad but after investigation police came to know that arms were being sent to Balochistan illegally.


289 repeaters, 284 TT pistols, different kind of 20 guns, 35 thousands bullets included in the arms and ammunition. The accused who was smuggling weapons has been identified as Miro Khan and belong to Dera Jamali Khan. Police has registered case against him in Jacobabad Police station.


In another action, Police recovered huge cache of arms, conducting raid in godown in the area of Chokhal Pura while an accused was also arrested by police.


The recovered arms include 300 Kalashnikovs, 130 pistols, 72 guns and 15 thousands bullets. The accused was shifted to undisclosed location for further interrogation. Police said.
