PPP and PTI reject TORs of government for inquiry commission

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf have rejected the Terms of Reference for inquiry commission to probe into Panama Leaks here at today.

As per details, PTI senior leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi held a meeting with opposition leader Khurshid Shah here in Islamabad and exchanged views over the letter, written by government to Chief Justice of Pakistan.

Both leaders expressed their concerns for not taking opposition into confidence before writing letter to CJP adding that government should consult with opposition parties before writing letter.

Later, both leaders held press conference and said that all political parties have agreed for across the board accountability in the country and no one is sacred cow.

Khurshid Shah added that opposition parties meeting have been called at the residence of Aitzaz Ahsan here on May 2 to discuss the next strategy. Supreme Court Bar members and other parties leader would also be invited in the meeting.

Government letter to CJP was meaningless because TOR have been sent to CJP without consultation with opposition parties, opposition leader elaborated, stating that opposition demanded forensic audit of Panama Leaks and PM Nawaz and his family should be held accountable first.
