PM Nawaz Sharif lauds Armed Forces sacrifices in restoring peace in Country


KOTLI SAYEDAN: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said there had been a remarkable improvement in the law and order situation in the country, with restoration of peace particularly in Karachi.

He lauded the sacrifices of armed forces, police, civilian officers and the general public for successfully waging the war against terrorism for the last one-and-a-half-year.

The Prime Minister announced carpeting of all major road in Kotli Sattiyan and construction of a modern hospital.

He said the survey was in progress of a motorway from Muzaffarabad to Mirpur to be linked up with Kotli Sattiyan and construction of multiple bridges over River Jhelum.

He asked the people to come up with suggestions, if any, for new roads so as to promote tourism, generate economic activity and create employment in the area.

Minister for Petroleum Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said since Muhammed Nawaz Sharif had given Kotli Sattiyan the status of tehsil, the people of area were reaping the fruits of development.

He said with the efforts of Prime Minister Sharif, the 90 percent area of Kotli Sattiyan was equipped with electricity.

He said Nawaz Sharif was the first Prime Minister who was visiting Kotli Sattiyan, and called for discouraging those elements who were not in favour of the country's development.

He lauded the local chapter of Pakistan Muslim League (N) for organizing the public gathering on short notice of one-day, and said it was the love of the people of Kotli Sattiyan for their beloved leader Nawaz Sharif.

Punjab Labour Minister Raja Ashfaq Sarwar and Khursheed Satti Advocate also addressed the gathering.

The Prime Minister's special package included compensation of Rs 216,300,000 for the flood-affected people of the four tehsils of Rawalpindi.

An amount of Rs 165 million for Murree and Rs 494 million has been allocated for Kotli Sattiyan.

In Kotli Sattiyan, 229 houses were affected while 70 were totally damaged.
