NE YORK: Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Maleeha Lodhi urged Hollywood Actor Leonardo Di Caprio to visit Pakistan.

She said on a social media that UN Peace Ambassador Leonardo DiCaprio has been invited to visit Pakistan.

She tweeted “Met and invited Leonardo di Caprio, UN messenger of peace, to Pakistan.”

Lodhi met with Academy Award winner Leonardo DiCaprio during the signing ceremony of Paris Agreement at UN General Assembly.

The agreement was signed by 175 countries including Pakistan and Leonardo participated as a speaker in the event.

Leonardo said “You will either be lauded by future generation or vilified by them.”

“We can congratulate each other today, but it will mean absolutely nothing if you return to your countries and fail to push beyond the promises of this historic agreement. Now is the time for bold, unprecedented action,” he added.
