New developments reported in Maryam Nawaz urgent bail plea

LAHORE – The Lahore High Court on Friday adjourned hearing of a petitionfiled by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaztill October 28, seeking an immediate release against her arrest in MoneyLaundering and Chaudhry Sugar Mills case, GNN reported.

According to details, the Justice Baqir Najfi heard the PML-N vicepresident’s bail plea.

During the hearing, court inquired the National Accountability Bureau (NAB)prosecutor about the written replies over Maryam’s bail plea. On which NABpleaded court for more time to submit the reply.

The court then adjourned the hearing till October 28.

The PML-N stalwart is currently in the jail on judicial remand in theChaudhry Sugar Mills reference along with her cousin Yousaf Abbas.

On August 8, NAB had arrested Maryam Nawaz, her cousin Yousaf Abbas in theChaudhry Sugar Mills case.
