ISLAMABAD – Saudi Arabia government has a good news for overseas workersin the kingdom working in Industrial sector.
The Saudi authorities have suspended fees on expatriate workers from theindustrial sector for five years.
A Saudi cabinet’s statement issued on Tuesday said that the government willbear the cost on behalf of licensed industrial institutions. The order willcome into effect starting this October.Ad
The government will bear the cost of fees for expatriate workers on behalfof licensed industrial institutions as of October 1, 2019, for five years.
The Saudi government expects that the move will create new jobs for theexpats in the country. The fee was previously imposed to encourage Saudicompanies to hire local talent instead of importing from Asian and Europeancountries.
The companies had, however, opposed the move saying that it increased theoperating cost significantly.
