Three basic principles for new local government system in Punjab

ISLAMABAD - Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain says the Prime Minister has given three basic principles for new local bodies system in Punjab.
Talking to media after Punjab cabinet meeting presided over by Prime Minister Imran Khan in Lahore, he said these principles include empowering local bodies, holding of elections through direct polls and simplifying the system.
The Information Minister said village council experiment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was very successful whereas there was union council system in Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan.
