Govt believes in accountability without any discrimination: Qureshi

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has said that overseas Pakistanis can play a vital role in economic strengthening process of the country.

Addressing the Pakistani community in Washington, he said we have the capability, as a nation, to meet the challenges being faced by the country.

Foreign Minister said that Prime Minister Imran Khan acknowledges the constructive role of overseas Pakistanis and it is expected that Pakistanis living abroad will also take a part to meet such difficulties.

He said that the government believes in accountability without any discrimination and it will ensure such accountability in the country.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's Ambassador to United Nations Dr Maleeha Lodhi has said that Foreign Minister Shah Mahmud Qureshi in his address to the UN General Assembly on Saturday will highlight Pakistan's stance on regional and global issues.

Talking to media in New York on Sunday, she said Shah Mahmood Qureshi will also attend an event on peacekeeping which is convened by Secretary General of the UN.

She said that he will interact with contact groups of OIC on different issues including Kashmir and will also give interviews with different media channels. She said that he will address to an event of Asia Pacific Society which is a prestigious event where will table the new vision of the government.
