Pakistan reiterates call for deployment of int'l fact-finding mission by UNHRC in Occupied Kashmir

President Mamnoon has reiterated Pakistan's abiding commitment to principles, purposes enshrined in UN Charter.

The United Nations Day is being observed across the world on Tuesday (October 24) to mark the 72nd anniversary of the world body which came into being on this day in 1945.

In his message in connection with UN Day, President Mamnoon Hussain has reiterated Pakistan's abiding commitment to the principles and purposes enshrined in the UN Charter.

He said Pakistan has played an active and leading role at the UN in translating its principles and purposes into reality.

Referring Jammu and Kashmir dispute, the President called upon the UN Security

Council to demonstrate the necessary political will to ensure full implementation of its resolutions on the issue.

He said the human rights of the people of occupied Kashmir have been systematically violated by India, particularly since July 2016.

The President said Pakistan reiterates its call for deployment of an international fact-finding mission by the UN Human Rights Council in the occupied Kashmir.
