Indian businessmen lashes out at Modi sarkar over rising intolerance in India

NEW DEHLI: Growing intolerance and rising Hindu extremism has started to effect the Indian society and the businessmen who are blaming the policies of the Narendra Modi government for the rising intolerance in the society.

Tata Sons Chairperson Emeritus Ratan Tata said he is concerned over the alleged growing intolerance in the country, dubbing it “a curse we are seeing of late”.

He was speaking to the media following an event organized by Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia. The event was held to celebrate the 119th foundation day celebration of Scindia School in Gwalior.

“I think everybody knows where the intolerance is coming from and what it is. Like many thousands, millions of Indians, one wants to see a country without intolerance,” Tata told reporters on Saturday.

“The Maharaja (Jyotiraditya) talked about intolerance. It is a curse we are seeing of late,” the eminent industrialist said in his address.

Many Hindu intellectuals and the sanner  elements within India have already raised their voice against the rising Hindu extremism and intolerance in the society which is allegedly supported by the ruling BJP and it's allies Shiv Sena and other hardliner right wing parties.
