Pakistan-Iran to enhance defence production collaboration: Iranian defence Minister 

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Defense Production and Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces have called for strengthening of bilateral cooperation and exchanging experience in defense production industries.

Iran's Brigadier General Mehdi Rabbani met with Pakistan's Rana Tanveer Hussain on the sidelines of Pakistan International Defense Exhibition IDEAS 2016 in Karachi.

During the meeting, they discussed ways and means of promoting bilateral cooperation in diverse fields especially defense production.

Each side explained developments and capabilities of his own country in defense industries and conventional military equipment.

Iranian delegation arrived in Karachi on Tuesday to participate in the 9th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS 2016).

The defense industries of some countries including Pakistan, Turkey, China, Russia, as well as North American, South American, European, and Asian countries are present at the exhibition.

There are 418 firms from 34 countries participating in the event, out of which 157 are Pakistani firms.
