Waqar Younis announces resignation after T20 World Cup

NEW DELHI: Waqar Younis announced resignation after T20 World Cup instead of facing axe.

Waqar Younis told this to PCB officials before his address with players on Thursday.

Waqar claimed that it will be his last match against Australia as head coach.

As per report “Waqar addressed the players today in the team meeting and said that it could be his last game as Pakistan’s head coach.”

Earlier at home, water and power minister Sher Ali claimed that national team’s performance is very poor and all such players are a bad influence on the team.

He claimed that Shahid Afridi and Waqar Younis are among these names and they should resign themselves instead of waiting for the authorities to sack them.

He said “We don’t need them and they should be told to go home.”

He also condemned the team players and urged Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to take measures against the team.
