ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to PM Nawaz on foreign affairs Tariq Fatemi said that peace in Afghanistan is necessary for the stability and peace in the entire region while Pakistan will continue to play its role as a facilitator in Afghan peace process.
As per details, Japan Deputy Special Representatives for Afghanistan and Pakistan Yasushi Misawa called on Tariq Fatemi in Islamabad here at Thursday.
Both dignitaries exchanged views on bilateral ties as well as regional affairs in the meeting. Speaking at the occasion, Tariq Fatemi said that both counties have close and friendly relations while a unique cooperation exists between both countries in different fields.
Talking about regional security situation, Tariq made it clear that Pakistan is making its all possible efforts to promote peace and stability in Afghanistan because peaceful Afghanistan is not onlyin favour of Pakistan but for the entire region.
While highlighting the policy of Pakistan with their neighbours PM Assistant added that Pakistan wants to establish constructive and close ties with their neighbours.
