Hurriyat Leader Syed Ali Gillani meets Pak High Commissioner 

NEW DELHI: Kashmiri Hurriyat Leader Syed Ali Gillani and Mir Waiz Umer Farooq met with Pak High Commissioner Abdul Basit in New Delhi and discussed the regional situation.

 

They had lunch together and discussed the Pathankot incident and other conflicts and urged for resolving them with dialogues.

 

After the meeting Mir Waiz said “Kashmir being an important element of the composite dialogue, we feel some Kashmir specific measures need to be taken on the ground.”

 

Both leaders were also invited on Pakistan Day.

 

Hurriyat Leader Syed Ali Gillani said “We always welcomed the dialogue process between India and Pakistan. We hope the two countries would evolve the ways and means to include the people of Kashmir in the composite dialogue process.”

 

Earlier a day before, Pakistan Day was celebrated at Pak High Commission in New Delhi with zeal and zest.

 

The separatist leaders were also invited to join the ceremony.

 

Pakistan Day was also celebrated in Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistani Flag was also hoisted across the state.
