Hurriyat leaders thank OIC Contact Group on Kashmir for holding a meeting in occupied Kashmir

ISLAMABAD-In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders Molvi Bashir Ahmed, Bilal Ahmed Siddiqui, Jahangir Ghani Butt, Altaf Hussain Wani and Mushtaq Hussain thanked OIC Contact Group on Kashmir for holding a meeting on the worsening human rights situation in occupied Kashmir.
In their separate statements, they also hailed Pakistan for making efforts to arrange the meeting.
Kashmir Tehreek Khawateen Chairperson, Zamrooda Habib and Secretary General Shamim Shawl has asked international community to take notice of India’s continued atrocities on the Kashmiri women.
In a joint statement, they said killing of 95,611 of Kashmiris by the brutal Indian forces has rendered 22,915 women widowed. Thousands of women have also been stigmatized as half-widows after revelation of 6,000 mass graves and over 8,000 enforced disappearances
Meanwhile, editors from across occupied Jammu and Kashmir while strongly reacting to so-called media policy of fascist Modi government for Kashmir have demanded immediate revocation of the policy.
In their media interviews, they said so-called policy makes it binding for media outlets in occupied territory to get their contents checked by Indian secret agencies before being published.
Indian troops during nocturnal raids arrested four youth from different areas of Sopore town, while the troops continued cordon and search operations in several districts of the territory.
APHC leaders Farooq Tawheedi and Darinder Singh Behl and Hurriyet leader Firdous Ahmad Shah visited the residence of martyrs in Srinagar and Pulwama. The leaders, while addressing mourners on the occasion, urged India to end the bloodshed.
