CJP directs IGP Punjab to beef up security of judges

ISLAMABAD: (APP) Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali on Friday directed the Chief Secretary and IGP Punjab to beef up security of the public in general and the judges in particular.
The Chief Secretary and IGP Punjab were called by CJP at Supreme Court Branch Registry, Lahore.
Talking in the backdrop of the current scenario of kidnapping of son of Chief Justice of High Court Sindh from Karachi, the Chief Justice of Pakistan directed Chief Secretary and IGP, Punjab to take effective measures to tighten the security of judges and the courts.
He also emphasized upon the need to improve law and order situation.
