ISLAMABAD-China has asked the United States to close its Consulate General in Chengdu.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China in Beijing informed the US Embassy of its decision to withdraw its consent for the establishment and operation of the US Consulate General in Chengdu.
Meanwhile, China says current tensions in Sino-U.S. relations were entirely caused by United States.
Speaking during video conversation with his German counterpart, Senior Chinese diplomat Wang Yi expressed hope to achieve win-win cooperation with mutual respect with the United States.
