Actress Saba Qamar in hot waters

ISLAMABAD - Pakistani actress Saba Qamar was attacked by trolls online after private photos of her were leaked. The photos show Qamar in a sheer shirt while holding a cigarette in her hand. The pictures were taken while the Hindi Medium actress was taking a cigarette break in the middle of a photo shoot.
Once the pictures were leaked, several people online started trolling and attacking the actress, saying that what she was doing was wrong because smoking was against her religion and position as a woman and that she was shaming the Muslim community.
She was also incessantly harassed by others who commented on her clothes and how revealing they were. The actress also received comparisons to Mahira Khan who faced similar problems when some pictures of her clad in a white backless dress taking a cigarette break with Ranbir Kapoor made it to social media last year.
While Saba herself hasn’t commented on the leak just yet, several of her co-stars and friends have come forward to defend Qamar and shut down the haters.
These include Aijaz Aslam, Adnan Siddiqui and *Baaghi* co-star Osman Khalid Butt. There were several others who came to the actress’s defense, pointing out that slut-shaming is wrong and cigarettes and smoking harm everyone, regardless of gender.
