Pakistan self reliance in weapons and equipments is necessary for regional peace and defence

Chinese scholar and former defense attaché in South Asian countries Cheng Xizhong says Pakistan's self-reliance in weapons and equipment is conducive to maintaining regional peace and stability.
He stated this while commenting on Pakistan's successful test launch of Shaheen-III surface-to-surface ballistic missile.
Cheng Xizhong said in recent years, Pakistan has made persistent efforts in the research and development of military hardware and has scored big points rapidly.
He said the enhancement of Pakistan's self-reliance in weapons and equipment and strength of its armed forces are also conducive to safeguarding the country's territorial integrity and curbing regional wars or armed conflicts.
