President of the United States Joe Biden has directed his administration to conduct a full assessment of the risk of domestic terrorism.

Talking to media, White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki referred to the incident of assault on the Capitol on 6th January by the supports of Donald Trump and said that the rise of domestic violent extremism is a serious and growing national security threat.

She said that we want fact-based analysis, upon which we can shape policy.

Jen Psaki said the assessment will be carried out by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence in coordination with the FBI and Department of Homeland Security.
