Former Indian Skipper Mohammad Azharuddin to be arrested by Police

ISLAMABAD - Former Indian Skipper Mohammad Azharuddin to be arrested by Police as a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed against former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin for allegedly cheating a travel agent.
According to details, Azharuddin, along with two others, has been booked for duping a travel agent off nearly 2.1 million Indian rupees (INR).
As per the FIR, the former cricketer booked flights, through his personal assistant Mujib Khan, for himself and others in November last year but did not issue payment to the travel agent, named Shahab.
The FIR added that Khan’s associate Sudesh Awakkal also sent an email, to the travel agent, stating that he has already transferred INR 1.06 million to him but Shahab said that he did not receive any such payment.
"Former Indian cricketer Azharuddin and two others have been booked for cheating a travel agent. We are investigating the matter. If the payment is made in court, they will get immediate relief or else the trio will be arrested," Investigating officer PSI Amarnath D Nagre was quoted as saying by India Today.
Azharuddin, though, brushed aside the travel agent's claims in a video message on Twitter.
