COAS General Qamar Bajwa visited National Radio Telecommunication Corporation, Pakistan’s world class EW facility

RAWALPINDI – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited National Radio Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC), a world class information computer technology and electronic equipment manufacturer and solution providers both in public and private sectors, at Haripur on Friday.

According to a press release issued by the ISPR, the COAS inaugurated state-of-the-art Electronic Warfare (EW) and Ground Surveillance Radar (GSR) testing laboratories during the visit.

NRTC indigenously develop EW equipment and GSR radars for the Armed Forces of Pakistan.

The COAS lauded the role and unrelenting efforts made by NRTC during last three years and has assured his full support to NRTC in its innovative initiatives.

On January 21, Italian Ambassador to Pakistan Stefano Pontecorvo paid a farewell call to Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ.

According to a press release issued by the ISPR, COAS thanked the Italian ambassador for his services in Pakistan and acknowledged his contributions towards strengthening Pakistan – Italy relations.

The COAS also congratulated the ambassador on his appointment as Civil Senior Representative of North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in Afghanistan.
