PTI government decides to use space technology in development projects in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD - Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiyar says completion of all ongoing development projects is the top priority of Government.
He was addressing a consultative seminar titled 'Use of Remote Sensing Satellite' in Islamabad on Thursday.
The Minister said use of space technology and applications can help improve governance.
He said effective utilization of space science technologies can play an important role in socio-economic progress.
The Minister said satellite imaging help mapping and monitoring of development projects.
He said many countries are taking benefit from space technology where it is being used for exploration of minerals, and natural resources and flow of water.
On the occasion, Chairman Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission gave a briefing about the projects of the Commission. Representatives from different ministries and departments also participated in the seminar.
