ISLAMABAD - Islamabad High Court (IHC) Thursday accepted the FIA’s request for early hearing of an appeal against the anti-terrorism court’s decision for not giving further time to collect evidence from Britain in Imran Farooq murder case. A divisional bench comprising Chief Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb fixed January 31, to hear the appeal of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) against the decision of special court. Khawaja Imtiaz Advocate appeared before the bench on behalf of the FIA and prayed the court for early hearing of their appeal. Earlier, an Anti-Terrorism Court had refused to give further time to FIA to collect evidence from Britain in murder case of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)’s leader Imran Farooq. The FIA had challenged the decision and now, requested the court for its early hearing.
