Indian HC Gautam Bambawale calls on PM Nawaz Sharif

ISLAMABAD: Indian High Commissioner Gautam Bambawale called on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in PM House here on Wednesday. Affairs related to Indo-Pak relations and mutual interest were discussed in the meeting.
As per details, PM Nawaz welcomed the appointment of Gautam as Indian HC in Pakistan and expressed his hope that he will leave no stone unturned to close the two neighbours during his tenure.
While talking to Indian HC Gautam, PM Nawaz said that Pakistan is desirous to establish friendly relations with all the neighbours including India.
Speaking at this occasion, Gautam Bambawale vowed that he will make his every possible efforts to further strengthen the bilateral ties between Pakistan and India.
On the other hand, Afghan speaker Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi also called on PM Nawaz in PM House. Bilateral affairs and matters of regional security situation were came under discussion in the meeting.
PM Nawaz said that Pakistan gives a lot of importance to the friendly relations with Afghanistan while terrorism is a joint enemy of Pakistan and Afghanistan.
PM Nawaz emphasized that both countries will hav to work together for the elimination of terrorism. Afghan Ambassador Omer Zakhewal, National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, Aftab Sherpao and Tariq Fatemi were also present in the meeting.
