Bangladesh to face India in first match of T20 Asia Cup

DHAKA: Bangladesh will face India in the first match of T20 Asia Cup at Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadiumin Mirpur, Bangladesh.

 

Bangladesh is hosting the event 5th time and the match will start at 6:30 p.m. (PST).

 

Five teams are participating in the event which includes Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and UAE.

 

The Asia Cup will be played in T20 format for the first time.

 

The matches will be played in day/night format and venue will be the same.

 

Pakistan team will play its first match against its rival opponent India on February 27.

 

Pakistan will play its 2nd match against UAE, 3rd against Bangladesh and 4th against Sri Lanka.

 

Ten matches will be played between the participating teams and two top teams will play the final match on March 6 at Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium Mirpur.

 

Pakistan has won Asia Cup 2 times, Sri Lanka 4 times and India 5 times.
