Amendments in DRAP laws to be introduced in few days: Kiani
Minister for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Aamer Mehmood Kiani says amendments in the law related to Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) would be introduced in a couple of days.
Addressing pharmacists and chemists in Rawalpindi, he said the draft bill in this regard has already been approved by the federal cabinet.
He said under the amended law, the Drug Regulatory Authority would take steps to bring unregulated fields of herbal, alternative medicines and medical devices under its umbrella by devising new rules for these products.
The Minister said the PTI government under its first 100-day agenda has started revamping the Drug Regulatory Authority and Pakistan Medical and Dental Council to encourage merit and improve quality of education in medical colleges.
