ISLAMABAD - PEMRA issues show cause notices to two TV Channels over airing Indian content.
PEMRA issued a show-cause notice to an ARY News program “Bakhabar Sawera” for inviting an Indian journalist to speak on Kashmir issue. ------------------------------
And now, the media watchdog has put entertainment channel Jalwa TV on notice for airing Indian songs. ------------------------------
The notice maintained that the channel had violated Section 27, 29 and 30 of the PEMRA Act 2007.
The channel has been asked to respond to the notice within seven days. In case of non-compliance, strict action would be taken.
