Imran Khan says Pakistan ready to help Kerala flood victims

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that Pakistan is ready to provide humanitarian assistance to India to help the victims of the Kerala floods.

“On behalf of the people of Pakistan, we send our prayers and best wishes to those who have been devastated by the floods in Kerala,” Khan said. “We stand ready to provide any humanitarian assistance that may be needed.”

Rescuers searched submerged villages in a desperate hunt for survivors after floods killed at least 370 people and drove more than 700,000 from their homes, according to AFP.

The Indian government has been heavily criticized for refusing foreign aid to the flood victims.
