Notably, Zaka Ashraf had previously served on the PPP parliamentary board for Central Punjab, where he collaborated with prominent party figures such as Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Chaudhry Manzoor, Hassan Murtaza, Rana Farooq Saeed, and Faisal Saleh Hayat. In response to growing anticipation, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) announced that the general elections are scheduled to take place in the last week of January 2024. The ECP is actively engaged in the delimitation process of constituencies, with the initial list expected to be published on September 27. The final delimitation list will be revealed on November 30, paving the way for the electoral process to commence as per the 54-day election schedule.
