Anti Polio drive kicks off across Pakistan, over one crore children targeted

ISLAMABAD - Anti-polio drive begins across the country tomorrow to prevent the children from permanent physical disability.
*KHYBER PAKHTUNKHWA*
A three-day anti-polio campaign begins in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Monday.
According to the provincial Health Department, more than six point six million children up to five years of age will be administered anti-polio drops during the campaign.
About twenty-five thousand teams have been constituted for which will visit door to door to ensure administering anti-polio drops to the children.
Polio teams will also be available at railway stations, bus stands and other public places.
Special security measures have been taken for security of polio teams.
*BALOCHISTAN*
Three day anti-polio drive will also begin in Balochistan on Monday.
About nine thousand mobile teams have been constituted to administer anti-polio drops and Vitamin-A to 2.5 million children in the province.
*AJ&K*
A four-day anti polio campaign will begin in Azad Jammu and Kashmir tomorrow.
Over seven hundred eleven thousand children up to five years of age will be administered anti-polio and Vitamin-A drops during the campaign.
