Earthquake tremors jolt parts of Pakistan

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 on the Richter Scale occurred in Swat and its surrounding regions on a Tuesday, as reported by ARY News. The National Seismic Monitoring Centre (NSMC) verified that tremors were experienced in Swat and its neighboring areas, although initial reports did not indicate any casualties.

Just last week, on a Monday, various parts of Karachi were shaken by a mild earthquake. Initial reports did not mention any significant damage. This particular earthquake had a magnitude of 3.1 on the Richter Scale.

The National Seismic Monitoring Centre in Islamabad provided additional details, stating that the earthquake's depth was measured at 15 kilometers, with the epicenter located near the Quaidabad area of Karachi.

The affected areas where tremors were felt encompassed Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Cattle Colony, various sections of Malir District, Quaidabad, Shah Latif Town, Sherpao Colony, Landhi, Muzaffarabad Colony, Muslimabad Colony, Steel Town, and their nearby regions.
