Cracks appeared in former PDM Allies PMLN and PPP

PPP leader Khursheed Shah has firmly rejected the possibility of forming a coalition government with the PML-N should the voters not express confidence in the Bhutto-led party during the general elections.

In an interview on the show "Faisla Aap Ka" with Asma Shirazi on Aaj News, he articulated the party's stance, emphasizing that if the people did not support the PPP and they failed to secure the necessary seats, they would prefer to be in the opposition. Shah stated that the PPP would play a constructive role in that capacity.

Recent events have seen the PPP advocating for a fair and equitable political environment for all parties. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari asserted that democracy and elections were seemingly disrupted for the return of one individual to the country. Two days later, Nawaz Sharif returned to Pakistan after a self-imposed exile lasting four years.

In a veiled reference to the PML-N and the JUI-F, PPP leader Faisal Karim Kundi asserted that the polls should not be delayed at the behest of these two political parties.

When questioned about the likelihood of forming an alliance with the PML-N, Khursheed Shah reiterated the PPP's preference for being in the opposition. He explained that this arrangement is beneficial for both the PPP and the Nawaz league, as it allows the PPP to provide leadership and guidance to the government while serving as the opposition party.

Shah further asserted that the Bhutto-led party had a history of functioning effectively even under challenging circumstances, contributing to the preservation of democracy.
