Egypt says that its military personnel were injured in the 'gunfire by Israel during a border incident. According to the Egyptian military spokesperson, seven military soldiers were hit near Gaza by mistakenly fired rounds at an Israeli tank.
The spokesperson stated that the injuries sustained during the incident are of a minor nature. Israel has expressed immediate regret for the unintentional incident and initiated investigations.
On the other hand, Israel has acknowledged targeting Egyptian forces accidentally, stating that a tank mistakenly targeted Egyptian troops.
It's important to note that Israel shares its borders with Lebanon, Jordan, and Egypt. The border with Lebanon is particularly sensitive due to the ongoing conflict with Hezbollah.
