In a recent interview with Puma India, Mohammed Shami, the right-arm fast bowler from India, responded strongly to Pakistani players amid a controversy regarding the use of a different ball. Shami asserted that Pakistani cricketers believe they are the best but couldn't handle his impressive performance in the World Cup 2023, where he consistently took 5-6 wickets in each match after making his debut.
Addressing the alleged ball controversy initiated by Pakistani players, Shami stated that they couldn't digest his outstanding performance and began spreading rumors about the ICC providing a different ball to India.
He expressed his belief that true excellence in cricket comes from performing when it matters, putting in hard work, and unwavering support for the team.
Shami emphasized that extending the debate is unnecessary and, without explicitly mentioning Pakistani players, urged them to improve by saying, "Sudhar jao yar." Additionally, he referenced comments made by Wasim Akram, the former Pakistani captain, who had previously explained the ball selection process directly from the box.
