Federal Cabinet meeting takes multiple important decisions
ISLAMABAD – The federal cabinet has approved to hold the local bodies elections in Islamabad.
According to sources, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) will soon take steps with regard to the local bodies elections. The cabinet formed an inter-ministers committee over the electronic voting machine.
During the meeting, an investigation report was presented with regard to the artificial shortage of petrol. The forum also discussed economic, political and law and order situation.
The meeting was also briefed about the steps taken to deal with the inflation. The participants discussed the leaked audio tape of former chief justice Saqib Nisar and affidavit presented by Gilgit Baltistan former chief judge Rana Shamim.
The cabinet also approved a maximum increase in the prices of 38 medicines.
