ISLAMABAD - PTI government unveils an unprecedented step for Pakistani women in the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme.
Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation, Dr Sania Nishtar has said the entire "Ehsaas" programme is focused on economic empowerment of women and girls.
In an interview with APP, she said the government will explore ways to recognize the work of rural women, pave the way for equal wage and cover domestic work under legislation.
She further said that a policy is being devised to ensure that women have joint ownership of houses in new housing schemes.
