CM Hamza Shahbaz Sharif faces a big setback

In a letter to the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), lawyer for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Faisal Chaudhry has requested ECP to stop Hamza link Shehbaz from working as Punjab link Minister, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
“Hamza Shehbaz has lost majority in Punjab link after the decision of the election commission,” reads the letter.
“The election commission has de-seated 25 dissident parliamentarians while giving its verdict on a reference against them,” it adds.
“The election commission should issue a notification to de-notify the dissident members,” it requests link.
“New MPAs should be issued notifications on the reserved seats according to the new list,” it demands.
The PTI link also sent names for five reserved seats to the election commission.
As per the letter of Faisal Chaudhry, it has been demanded that Batool Janjua, Saira Raza and Fauzia Abbas should be issued notifications as PTI link MPAs on reserved seats of women.
Similarly, Habakkuk Gill and Samuel Yaqub should be nominated as PTI link on reserved seats of minorities.
