Ramzan 2017 moon sighting: Mufti Popalzai refused to meet government delegation

ISLAMABAD – Ramzan 2017 moon sighting has again become a headache for the government as Mufti Popalzai of the Masjid Qasim Khan in Peshawar has once again refused to bow before th government request.
Ministry of Religious Affairs is making all possible efforts to observe the holy month of Ramadan on the same day in entire country.
A delegation of the government will hold meeting with Mufti Shahabuddin Popalzai in order to ensure the commencement of Ramadan on the same day in country.
Both will exchange views to observe holy month of Ramadan on the same day during the meeting.
Sources claimed that Mufti Shahabuddin Poplazai left without meeting the government delegation to begin the holy month of Ramadan on the same day.
The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will hold meeting on May 26, while Mufti Shahabuddin Poplazai will also hold meeting on the same day at Masjid Qasim Ali Khan.
