Hurriyet Leader Yasmeen Raja sent to jail for waiving Pakistani Flag in Srinagar

ISLAMABAD, May 23 (APP): Hurriyet Leader Yasmeen Raja sent to jail for waiving Pakistani Flag in Srinagar

 

The All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) leader and the Chairperson of Muslim Khawateen Markaz Jammu and Kashmir, Yasmeen Raja has been shifted from Srinagar police station to central jail, Srinagar.

 

She was arrest three days ago from a court during hearing of a fake case. The Muslim Khawateen Markaz spokesperson in a statement issued in Srinagar said that the case against Yasmeen Raja was registered for waving Pakistani flags in Srinagar and holding peaceful protest demonstrations against the Indian state terrorism,reported KMS.

 

The spokesperson said that India could not withdraw Yasmeen Raja and other Hurriyet leaders from their struggle for securing right to self- determination through such cheap means. She said that struggle for Kashmiris' birthright to continue till taking it to its logical conclusion.

 

The spokesperson appealed to the international human rights organizations to play role for release of Yasmeen Raja and other illegally detained Hurriyet leaders and activists.
