Peace in region essential for socioeconomic development of people: PM

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan Friday met participants of the international workshop on leadership and security being organized by the National Defence University.

The participants comprising of expatriates, entrepreneurs and leaders from foreign countries had candid discussion with the Prime Minister and asked questions on national, international and regional issues.

The Prime Minister highlighted government’s reform agenda and the huge potential of the country especially its youth. He also spoke about the national and international issues.

Discussing regional situation, he reiterated that Pakistan desired peace in the region which he said was essential for socio-economic development of the people of the region.

“Our main challenge is poverty which can only be overcome if we join hands and let greater trade and economic activities take place in the region”, the Prime Minister maintained.
